PORT ANGELES – Olympic Medical Center executives recognized Deby King, administrative director of Laboratory Services, during the hospital’s September department management meeting.
King has taken on many roles and challenges for the organization during the last 10 years. "Deby started with diagnostic imaging where she successfully grew the service line, while helping OMC transition to our affiliation with Radia as the provider of our current physician radiologist team,” said Scott Kennedy, MD, chief medical officer.
"Then in 2012, Deby became our first project manager for the Epic electronic health records implementation. She did a great job in this implementation and stabilization role, working with both OMC and Providence Epic leadership to coordinate and facilitate our Epic work and resources,” said Kennedy.
In April 2016, King became the Administrative Director for Laboratory Services and is currently overseeing the implementation of new hematology and chemistry equipment throughout the department.
"Deby is skillfully leading a talented lab team to continue OMC’s high quality laboratory services for this community. I appreciate the leadership experience, sense of value of her staff’s work and the innovative thinking she consistently brings to the table,” said Kennedy.
