PORT ANGELES – Holly Wickersham, operations director, Olympic Medical Physicians, received OMC’s Leadership Award on August 16. Chief Executive Officer Eric Lewis presented the award during Olympic Medical’s August leadership meeting.
Wickersham has been with Olympic Medical Physicians in a management capacity since 2007, and has been operations director since 2014. In addition to her operational responsibilities, she has been a key member of the planning committee for the new medical office building opening later this year.
"Holly has been coordinating a lot of moving parts for transitioning to the new medical office building such as equipment, supplies, people, signage and interiors,” said Lewis. The Medical Office Building is scheduled to open in December 2016. "Holly’s incredibly organized in her approach to move physician clinics into the new space, while minimizing the impact on patients and employees as much as possible.”
In the past seven months, Wickersham took on a larger administrative load as the administrative leaders searched and secured a new physician division chief. She also supervises clinic managers and recently set up a new coordinated call center.
"Holly is an excellent human resources partner and a strong supporter of her staff. She is a broad thinker, taking in the big picture to see where people and issues fit, and works diligently and tirelessly to promote a successful environment,” says Scott Kennedy, MD, chief medical officer.
