Hospital Receives More Than $24,500 in Equipment From OMC Auxiliary

Auxiliary Donates Approximately $100,000 in Needed Equipment since 2012

PORT ANGELES (July 8, 2015) – The OMC Auxiliary presented three Olympic Medical Center departments with needed medical equipment as part of its annual "Wish List” ceremony on June 8 at Olympic Memorial Hospital.

Presented to department directors by Auxiliary President Bill Whitten, items included a temporal artery thermometer and personal alarm pads for the Medical / Surgical unit, a vital signs machine and over bed tables for the intensive care unit, and a total body exerciser for physical therapy.

"We are very grateful to the OMC Auxiliary for supporting Olympic Medical Center’s effort to provide excellent health care to our patients by stepping up and helping us purchase needed medical equipment,” says Lorraine Wall, RN, chief nursing officer. "We appreciate all the Auxiliary and our volunteer group do for our patients.”

The five items donated to Olympic Medical Center totaled more than $24,500:

The OMC Auxiliary raises funds for Olympic Medical Center through the Auxiliary-run hospital gift shop, seasonal sales events and other fundraisers throughout the year.
