JOB SUMMARY

The manager has 24-hour accountability for the daily operation management of Operating Room and PACU Units. Manager is responsible for staff schedules, assignments, performance, and clinical competency in these areas.

 

Administrative responsibilities include utilizing resources, managing budget, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, as well as with hospital and departmental policies. Manager ensures that each unit's activities are in accordance with departmental and hospital policies, are congruent with State Health Department and other regulatory agencies, and meet current DNV, ISO 9001, MIR, AORN, SGNA, AAMI, and IAHCSMM Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EQUIPMENT COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION

·        Graduate of accredited school of Nursing

·        BSN or related degree preferred

·        Advanced degree preferred

 

EXPERIENCE

·        5-7 years’ clinical experience in perioperative practice

·        3-5 years’ leadership experience preferred

 

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

·        RN licensure in State of Washington required

·        CNOR Certification required

·        BLS Certification required

·        ACLS Certification required

·        SGNA Certification preferred

·        PALS Certification preferred
